Dr. Lancaster has been in practice for 30 years. She received her undergraduate bachelor of science degree in Zoology and Neuropsychology from the University of Michigan. She also holds a bachelor of science in Human Biology from National College of Chiropractic, wear she earned her the Doctor of Chiropractic degree, summa cum laude.

The core of Dr. Dawn's practice is optimal health through functional chiropractic medicine. While she accepts patients with musculoskeletal complaints, she focuses on educating patients about body systems, along with the preventive and predictive measures that restore and protect overall vibrant health. This involves physical examination, as well as analysis of lab tests and other health results brought to her by patients. Through nutrition, detoxification, and health mentoring, she assists patients with setting and achieving their goals--transitioning them from sickness management to genuine health restoration, promotion, and maintenance--which often involves addressing attitudinal paradigms that impact health. The foundational principle upon which her office was established is that, "Health is more than the absence of disease and disease is not the result of a drug deficiency." Furthermore, she contends that, "Early detection is not prevention, antibiotics and vaccines are not substitutes for a healthy immune system, and lab results 'within normal limits' do not denote vitality."

While the office does not directly participate with insurances, Health Savings Account and Health Flex Plan cards are honored. Dr. Lancaster's affordable fee schedule is presented openly and prior to any care. Detailed receipts are available for tax purposes and for insurance reimbursement according to the patient's health insurance agreement. This payment policy protects the Doctor-Patient relationship and does not allow third party payors to direct or abridge her optimal health recommendations. Furthermore, Dr. Lancaster maintains a non-HIPAA office, so no patient records are ever subject to compromise through internet transmission or display.
